Vintage! LEATHER ROUND BOX from H.M.R. & Co. Nice Patina features Eagle & Stars

I'm not really sure what this is, possibly a collar box?!
I love the look of this leather box -- it shows its age.  When the lid is on it stands 3-3/8" tall and the diameter is 4-1/2".
The seam on the lid is tearing away from the stitching,
but the lid still sits tight on the box making this round box still very usable. It is not soiled and no odor.
The lid features an embossed eagle, stars, the words "H.M.R. & Co."
